This report provides an assessment of the NIO’s 2022-23 Budget for Northern Ireland, and follows our earlier publications 'The NI Executive's 2022-25 Draft Budget: an assessment' (January 2022) and The NI Executive’s 2022-23 Budget: an update (November 2022).
Note: Updated version published on 28 April 2023 (v2) substitutes a revised Table 3.2 on page 26. This uses updated Treasury GDP deflators and corrects the real-terms calculations. It also corrects a typing error on page 25.
