The NI Fiscal Council also recently published a report examining the UK Government's financial support package for the restored Executive published by the Secretary of State for NI on 15 February 2024.  The report reviews the scope of the NI Budget, how the Block Grant is determined and considers why NI departments have been overspending. The Council then examines the UK Government's financial support package and the impact of this on the Executive's finances over the short and long term. The report is available to download here.
